Mesa’s Power Delivery Transmission and Distribution Business Unit recently provided engineering services for a 115 kV transmission line rebuild of approximately 33.9 miles for a major southern electric utility. Engineers designed both single circuit and double circuit structures rebuilding a total of three transmission circuits for this project. Existing wood H-frame structures were replaced with new single-circuit concrete structures and new double-circuit concrete structures. All existing concrete poles, steel poles, and water crossing structures were checked for the higher loadings and will remain unchanged. This T&M project was completed in 2019.
