Chlorine gas injection was being used for water chlorination of the on-site well drinking water at a client site. This posed a significant hazard, as well as cost, for the plant. Mesa provided multi-discipline engineering and design services for a new sodium hypochlorite (bleach) injection system to replace the chlorine gas injection system. The new system consisted of storage containment for the bleach, new injection metering pumps, and interconnecting piping was completed in 2018.
