Mesa Welcomes David Rodriguez As Regional Director For Power Delivery Transmission And Distribution

David is a registered professional engineer in 15 States with a proficiency in civil engineering. His experience in the power industry spans over 40 years while working 28 years with a public utility in Phoenix, Arizona and the last 12 years in the consulting field.  His roles have consistently involved overseeing the successful completion of substation, transmission, and distribution projects while managing stakeholder and client relationships.  In many instances, David has been challenged to remediate projects and as well as customer-client and/or employee relationships.

As a manager, David has been successful in building and fortifying existing engineering teams, and most recently, building a team from the ground up.  As he has grown in this industry, he has learned the technical side of the business from substation, transmission, and distribution engineering, and the project management of related and multi-function projects. From the business management side, he has learned the importance of resource planning, utilization rates, profit margins, and bid & proposal processes.

“Mesa is very excited for David to join us to lead our talented Transmission & Distribution teams in the Western Region of the United States,” said Brett Varner, Vice President, Transmission & Distribution. “With his proven track record of success both at the utility and at consultant firms, in addition to being a true servant leader, we are confident that David will take our PDTD teams to the next level in providing top quality engineering service while being a valued and trusted partner to our clients.”
