An electric utility client replaced a leased line connection with a fiber optic connection. Mesa was able to upgrade the station to bring in the fiber optic cable and establish a link to the SONET ring, while the SCADA system was fully upgraded. The line relays were also upgraded and connected to a local ethernet network. These changes allowed the client to own their communication medium while upgrading the equipment in the station at the same time.
