Engineering using a laser scanner

Laser Scanning

Struggling with outdated drawings of your facility that no longer represents your current configuration? Mesa has invested in the latest 3D laser scanning technology to provide instant configuration for your facility. This technology allows us to create a digital record of your facility, convert that record into a 3D model, and then use the model to develop changes for new equipment, additional buildings, movements of large equipment, and even produce up to date physical drawings to bring your facility back into configuration control.

 3D Laser Scanning

Mesa’s laser scanning services help to solve the plant design documentation dilemma. Laser scanning is a very effective and efficient approach for developing very precise digital as-built documentation of even the smallest details found in a power plant, especially those areas that are difficult to access during operation or where access is available for only short periods. 3D laser scanning provides a dimensionally accurate, within 2 millimeters at 130 meters, representation of the plant and all its equipment as well as a photographic quality visual representation that can be integrated directly with CAD systems (Plant 3D, AutoCAD, MicroStation, CADWorx, AutoPlant, PDS, PDMS).
