Mesa Celebrates World Day For Cultural Diversity

Mesa Associates, Inc. celebrated World Day for Cultural Diversity by having some of our associates from various cultural backgrounds share information about their cultures and countries.  This was an exciting opportunity to provide associates with the ability to deepen their understanding of the values of cultural diversity within the workplace.

Human Resource Manager, Brianna Crowe, started off the event by discussing World Day for Cultural Diversity and the Civil Rights Movement. Next, Corporate Recruiter, Human Resources Generalist, Lisa Strong, talked about her Creole background and zydeco music and dancing. Application Development Manager, Xavier Cabezas, shared about the country and culture of Ecuador. Regional Manager, Anand Mahabaleshwarkar, shared how his life and the culture in India has shaped his life here in America. Finally, Quality Engineer Specialist, Ilka Hatfield, shared information about Panama and the Panamanian culture. If you would like to view these presentations and learn more about each culture, please check out our YouTube channel.

To continue with the culture theme celebration, associates in some of our Mesa offices (Knoxville, Chattanooga, Pomona, and Ft. Mill) were treated to some tasty delicacies to highlight the diverse cultures represented at Mesa. It was a fun day and a fun way to highlight all the wonderful and diverse associates.
