Installation of a New Hydraulic Dynamometer

Engineering support was provided to an industrial client for the installation of a new hydraulic dynamometer, auxiliary equipment, and tanks. The client currently had two test cells and an area used to store material, which became the location for the new equipment. This multi-discipline fixed price project was completed in late 2018 with Mesa delivering early Issued for Construction packages, resulting in mobilizing the construction contractor early. Mesa’s structural team was also able to minimize the amount of new structure and utilized the existing foundation pad to accommodate an exhaust stack, an acoustical enclosure and the hydraulic dynamometer. While the mechanical team diligently found space to route the piping avoiding interference with structural components and equipment and coordinating through modeling.
