An animal and livestock nutrition supplier installed a new 800kW Combined Heat and Power (CHP) system to reduce operating costs, provide higher efficiencies for steam production, as well as offer a way to deliver consistent, reliable power around the clock as well as emergency power. Mesa was recently brought in tor provide engineering services for the integration of the new system into a new feed plant. This project included the initial industrial plant qualifications, and plant and CHP thermal analysis. Mechanical, electrical and controls integration with an implementation strategy with engineering design services for the new CHP system were also incorporated. Mesa developed mechanical, electrical and thermal solutions and finalized CHP solutions for plant load reduction, reliability and weather-related power outages.
